Flame's ears shot up. Did I just... Eclipse??? He spun around, keeping both paws grinding under Pranxor's ribs. He gasped in pain beneath his pressure. He let up slightly on the weight. If Flame crushed him, he wouldn't be able to give him Timber's location.
Eclipse stood behind him. She was thin and ungroomed, and looked as if she'd run for miles nonstop. She hissed at the Destroyer and it scurried away yipping in fright. Eclipse turned to Flame and approached his captive. As she drew closer, Flame glimpsed a single dried Blood Barb clinging to her chest fur. Flame realized that she had trespassed on his territory to get here and he felt a flash of anger, then calmed. Her crime was repaid with his life.
Pranxor squirmed and shouted, "Let me go, YOU-"
Flame cut him off by pressing on his stomach harder. The fox wheezed and spluttered. "Are you going to tell me yet??? DOES THIS HURT?! Huh? WHERE IS TIMBER?!!?"
Eclipse approached beside him. "Thanks, by the way." he muttered.
"You are welcome," She said graciously.
Fuego, Scorch, Sparky, and Lavenderwhisp came from around a corner and saw them. Sparky jumped, hackles raising. "What are you doing here?" he shot at Eclipse.
"Sparky, she's a friend... for now."
Flame looked into Pranxor's heavy-lidded catlike optics. They glowed amber in the dark as the fox said, "I won't give up!"
Lavender protested, "What can you possibly gain from keeping this a secret?"
"Yeah!" Fuego growled.
Flame snarled, "Tell us."
Pranxor coughed and chuckled. Flame pressed harder, and the fox's eyes glistened in pain. "The humans... in the garage... stole her. In a white car!-"
"What's a car?" Lavenderwhisp asked.
"What's a garage?" Sparkles said.
"Shuddup!" Flame roared. "Where is the garage?"
Flame let up on his chest so it was easier for him to speak. "East, past the underpass into the heart of the city there's a place where the humans make dogs fight...."
"What's an underpass?" Lavender inquired.
"What's a city?" Sparky barked.
"SHUDDUP!" Flame yelled. He sighed and looked at Pranxor. "Go on," he nudged.
"...There is a garage where they have your friend. That's where you'll find her!" Pranxor spluttered. Flame released him, and Pranxor scuttled into the shadows.
"What a disgusting creature." Fuego curled his lip. Scorch nodded in agreement.
"More walking?" Sparky whined.
"More travelling?" Lavender yawned.
Flame stiffened. "For the third and final time... Shut UP! Speak again and I'll have your tail for dinner."
Fuego snickered. "Flamey's got you playing the quiet game!"
"We have a long way ahead of us." Scorch spoke. "And wherever will we find dinner?"
"In the warmth of the city, perhaps we will discover more prey in this season." Eclipse suggested.
"True. We'll keep a lookout. We need to hunt before we go on much longer. We need fuel for our trip." Flame told his packmates.
"And Eclipse, I owe you. Thanks again for coming to rescue us. I've many questions to ask once we get back... and I shan't forget you crossed my territory. If you wish to travel with us you may."
The human returned and the alleyway was flooded with light once more. That was que enough for the wolves to leave immediately.
