The cycle of the seasons has led the world from winter, and now it is spring in the world of the Fire and Ice packs. The air is balmy and warm, the trees are growing their leaves back, and prey populations are exploding... All seems well in the world. But not for long. The peace has been disturbed yet again, and this time it will cost more lives. The wolves' main source of food is vanishing- and quickly. Wolves are beginning to get sick, and the trees are losing their leaves. The river is foul, and the air is no longer balmy and warm, but smokey and tainted. Something is terribly wrong. Lack of food is leading to fights and disputes arising between the packs. Each day, more fall sick and there seems to be no cure. What is causing this chaos? Upriver seems to be the source, and none can know for sure where this mysterious plague is coming from. But time is of the essence; and someone has got to find out what is going on before it is too late.

Quiz Battles Quiz battles are this little thing we have on CG where a wolf from either pack receive a study sheet, study up, and then take a quiz. They can use fangs as attack/defense, and the winner gets fangs. Sign up here, or watch a QB, as we like to call them, unravel.
Contests Need a new avatar, but don't know who to ask for it? Host a contest here offering fangs for the winner! Please see the stickies for the cost of hosting a contest and how to go about doing it. You can enter contests here as well.
Absences Going on vacation, or need a break? For whatever reason, please make a thread here saying you're going to be gone, tell us why, and say when you'll be back, so we don't think you've forgotten us. Then reply to the thread saying "I'm back!" (or something similar), and the thread will be deleted.

Ice Pack Camp The camp of the younger pack where the lighter, thick-furred wolves reside lies deep within the snowy mountain territory of the Ice wolves.

The River The river is what separates the territories of the two packs. But watch out! The rocks are slippery and the water is freezing cold.

The Island The island is in the middle of the river that divides the two packs' territories. In the distant past, the fire and ice wolves battled for this meager slice of territory. Nowadays, the small island is no man's land.

The Human Forest The 'Human Forest' or city is a few miles outside of the fire pack's territory towards the south. It is uninhabitable by the wild wolves' standards, and they will almost never set foot in human domain for fear of their life. The evil foxes that live there oftentimes trek to the fire pack's land to steal prey, and sometimes pups if they are desperate enough.

Snowy Hills The foothills of the mountains that make up the ice pack's northern border cover most of this pack's territory. An alpine forest covers the soutern half. Most of the year it's covered in a thick layer of snow. This is the ice pack's primary source of prey.
Jag's Mountain Up high in the snowy peaks in the ice pack's territory a giant mountain bear lives in a cave with her young. Not a soul dares go near Jag's two cubs... unless you want to die. So do not go looking for adventure here!

Frozen Lake In the icy northern portion of the map you will find a huge frozen lake. Here, the ice wolves come to hunt with their highly developed fishing skills.

Fire Forest The forest is the primary hunting grounds for the fire pack. With their dark coats, they sneak along the forest floor, stalking deer, rabbits, and mice among other things, their pelts camoflauged in the shadows. This part of the fire pack's territory is known for its beautiful autumn colors.
Moon Valley Many years ago, the river flowed a different path through the fire forest. When it changed its course to where it runs presently, an empty canyon was left carved in the rock. It breaks off from the river and curves through the fire pack's territory in a crescent shape before rejoining the river further downstream. This place is rich in prey during the hot months when animals come to shelter in its deep shade.

Blood Barbs A dangerous grove of toxic bushes border the southern outside edge of the fire pack's territory. They generall y keep the foxes from the human forest out, but sometimes the blood barbs die with the winter frost or burn in forest fires, leaving the fire pack defenseless against the plague of foxes that soon infest their territory. Caution must be taken with the so dubbed "Blood barbs" because of their flaming red stingers which contain lethal poison- A poison that can fell the largest of beasts and for which there is no cure.
